Originally from Yaounde, Cameroon, Ivan Ghemmegne grew up in Buffalo, New York, and began playing varsity football at Williamsville North High School as a freshman running back. Ivan won the MVP award not once, but twice throughout his high school career thanks to his constant work ethic. He earned a spot on the highly respected All-Western New York Team his senior year, which demonstrated his extraordinary abilities and dedication to the game. Ivan participated in yearly volunteer work at the Jim Kelly football summer camp for kids, where he worked with kids and raised money to combat cancer. This showed that he is not simply an athlete but also a kind and civic-minded person. Ivan has transitioned to a new chapter in his athletic journey, pursuing his true passion for soccer at Cape Fear Community College. He plays on the men's soccer team as a forward where he consistently takes on fresh challenges and proudly represents Buffalo.
